Gamma launch Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams

Gamma is set to launch their Microsoft Teams Direct Routing proposition following a successful announcement at their annual partner Roadshow in March, which lead to record numbers registering and attending their launch webinars in April.

As the No.1 SIP provider in the UK, Gamma is well equipped to support the channel to deliver voice capabilities to Microsoft Teams users. The Gamma proposition is to provide a commercially viable and feature rich Direct Routing solution, making it simple to provision and support via the Gamma Portal.

Gamma will augment Phone System enablement with standard telecoms components such as free* minutes but also through their SIP Trunk Call Manager product – natively providing additional PBX and analytics capabilities in the Gamma cloud.

As an increasing number of businesses continue to adopt new ways of working, they are seeing the true need of a UC platform that can offer them a variety of channels to communicate not just with staff internally but to improve their customer experience as well.

Paul Wakefield, SIP Trunking Product Manager at Gamma is leading this product launch to Gamma’s extensive network of channel partners. Paul comments on the opportunity that Microsoft Teams provides the channel:

For the Channel, the biggest opportunities lie in both enabling Microsoft with Telephony services and supporting deployment with relevant and timely expertise. The Gamma proposition will specifically support the enablement of Teams with Telephony for both traditional Telecoms and Microsoft partners.  This will offer voice enablement of Teams in a simple and cost-effective solution with the assurance services are scalable, robust and delivered by the UK’s #1 SIP Trunking provider.  The value for the user will be to provide an end-to-end working solution that meets their business needs.”

Paul Elmore, UC Product Owner at Elite Group, a Gamma Platinum partner, comments:

The team at Elite is very excited about the launch of Gamma’s Direct Routing for Teams offering. As we’ve been involved in the early release phase, we have seen first-hand the benefits it can provide to our existing Teams users. Customers’ requirements for UCaaS are constantly evolving and the demand continues. We see this as an excellent opportunity to not only upsell into our existing Microsoft Teams customer base, but it also strengthens our overall UCaaS proposition when competing for new business.
