Gamma wins aggregated procurement on CCS Framework for mobile voice and data services

Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading technology-based provider of communication services, has won an aggregated procurement award by Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for the provision of mobile voice and data services.

CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

Following a full tender evaluation, Gamma’s success in the aggregated procurement, run on the Network Services 2 Framework, is based on meeting important criteria, such as cost-effectiveness, quality and capabilities.

Several public sector organisations across the UK will benefit from Gamma’s mobile voice and data services, with over ten thousand Gamma Mobile SIMs to be provided through the process, including 5G access as standard. Gamma Mobile is the organisation’s business mobile service, built exclusively for the UK market. The service has been designed to deliver improved coverage for voice and data through the latest mobile technology.

Using aggregated procurements (national further competitions or NFCs), CCS can get a highly competitive price and favourable terms from suppliers, when more customers need the same, or similar, products and services.

Sam Winterbottom, Public Sector Director at Gamma, said: “We’re delighted to have won this aggregated procurement, and have contracted with several public sector organisations to deliver our mobile solution. Through CCS’s important work, we are able to deliver and build upon our extensive experience managing complex public sector requirements. We look forward to continuing to support CCS to create value for the UK public sector.”
