Lubbock Fine is an independent, London based firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers.

Established in 1929, Lubbock Fine is a full service general practice with many years of experience and expert knowledge spanning the whole business and personal spectrum. The prestigious firm has approximately 150 employees split across several business units.

The Challenge

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the UK was forced into a national lockdown in March 2020, Lubbock Fine, like many companies across the country, needed to quickly adapt and change their way of working.

Improvement were needed to enable the rapid transition to remote working, as the firm’s existing system only offered a simple call forward.

Lubbock Fine wanted a system that would enable a true remote workforce, improve both internal and external communications, whilst also enhancing their business continuity position.

The Solution

Lubbock Fine had just adopted Microsoft Teams before the first national lockdown and as the usage of the software exploded they could see the potential in a unified communications platform.

Following thorough research the firm chose to work with Pinnacle, a Gamma partner. They were an existing customer of the business technology experts, and chose them over the competition due to the high level of customer service they deliver.

Pinnacle first completed a proof-of-concept deployment of Microsoft Teams Direct Routing with a small group of users prior to Lubbock Fine committing to a full-scale migration. As Lubbock Fine’s SIP numbers were already on Gamma’s SIP platform, Pinnacle could make use of Gamma’s flexibility within their web portal and platform to migrate specific numbers across to Gamma’s Direct Routing Solution. This meant User Acceptance Testing could be completed for specific users and DDIs without impacting on their existing live SIP trunks and Avaya phone system.

The Results

Following successful testing Pinnacle prepared Lubbock Fine’s Team’s environment for the remainder of the users and seamlessly migrated their DDIs across with no disruption to the business.
