Welcome to the latest issue

As we approach the end of what’s been a busy 2015 for Gamma, I’m pleased to share with you our Product Bulletin to keep you updated on all of the latest product features, commercial incentives and other news.

The key updates in this issue include the launch of Horizon Call Centre as well as a roundup of the useful support tools available to you, all designed to make it easier for you to do business, help you achieve a ‘first contact fix’ for your customers and improve your margin.

Gamma recently attended the 10th annual Comms Vision Convention at Gleneagles as a main sponsor, where our CEO Bob Falconer touched on our plans to become a Full Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), which will enable us to offer 4G services from our own core mobile service. We recognise the importance of mobility in an increasingly converged world and see this is a core component. Watch this space for more information – early in 2016 – on what we believe will be a truly differentiating mobile proposition in today’s market.

We’ll be hosting our annual Gamma Roadshow in March next year, where we’ll have more developments to share with you, as well as an insight into our roadmap for the year ahead. Look out for dates and more details coming soon.

At Gamma our business model is simple; to create innovative and disruptive services that give you, our Channel Partners, a competitive advantage. Our products are often shaped by feedback from our Channel Partners and we’re always looking at ways to enhance our product portfolio to help you sell more and make more margin. If you have any suggestions or feedback you’d like to share with us please do let us know by contacting your Business Development Manager or any of the Gamma Product team.

Kind regards,

Alan Mackie

The launch of Horizon Call Centre

In September we successfully launched Horizon Call Centre. An extension of the main Horizon platform, Call Centre gives your customers greater control over how their calls are managed, while boosting productivity and helping them deliver a first-rate service to their customers.

It’s ideal for any business that receives inbound calls; for example those with sales teams, help desks, accounts departments, receptionists or customer service representatives, through to the more traditional large call centre environments.

Key features and benefits:

  • Queue up to 50 calls at one time – to help ensure your customers don’t lose calls
  • Flexible and intelligent call distribution – so the right calls get through to the right people
  • Easily take calls for multiple departments from one device
  • Agents can quickly and seamlessly escalate difficult queries to a senior member of staff
  • Track staff performance – including number of calls received and activity completed
  • Report on different periods throughout the day – to help identify peak periods and potential additional resource needs

We’ve produced some helpful training videos for Horizon Call Centre:

Other recent Horizon improvements

We’ve made some other improvements to Horizon which mean you can now:

  • Keep track of upfront subscriptions via the Portal, with subscription count and order history
  • Place orders for upfront subscriptions
  • Receive automatic subscription trigger alerts if there aren’t enough upfront subscriptions to assign to a company

Horizon handset withdrawal announcement

We’ve seen sales of the VVX handsets grow rapidly, in fact the VVX410 is the top selling handset on the platform. Alongside this, the features available and the potential for development has also increased. As a result, demand for the SoundPoints has declined to the point where it’s no longer cost effective to support both sets of handsets on the Horizon platform.

We’ll continue to support the SoundPoint handsets until 31st October 2018, however there may be a reduction in new features made available moving forward. Please note, from November 1st 2018, the handsets will no longer work on the Horizon platform.

Moving over to VVX handsets will give your customers access to the latest features and offer the potential to take advantage of the Horizon Hardware Incentive – contact your Business Development Manager for more details.
