Gamma has been awarded a place on the GCloud 9 agreement for the supply of its Horizon Hosted phone system, SIP trunks, Inbound call management and Cloud Compute solutions.
The GCloud 9 agreement supports the Government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function at the heart of government.
GCloud 9 can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services and not-for-profit organisations. It enables them to buy Cloud products and services faster and cheaper than entering into individual procurement contracts.
Gamma’s market-leading SIP trunking and Horizon cloud voice platforms, as well as its Inbound cloud call management system are all available through the Cloud Software lot.
Gamma’s latest Cloud Compute and Cloud Backup services using Amazon Web Services are now available on the Cloud Hosting lot. Cloud Compute is Gamma’s Infrastructure as a Service solution, whereby normal business applications are run from virtual servers rather than traditional on-premise or data centre hosted servers, accompanied by all the appropriate storage, security and networking facilities. It means an organisation does not need to own, manage or maintain any underlying hardware and only needs to pay for what is used.
Sam Winterbottom, head of public sector sales for Gamma said: “We are delighted to be able to continue to offer the public sector marketplace our award-winning and successful SIP and Horizon cloud voice services, but also to enhance our offering with our new Cloud Compute services. It reaffirms our commitment to helping the public sector implement the right communications solution while delivering the best possible value for money. Being on the new GCloud 9 framework makes us easier to do business with and also provides organisations with the peace of mind that they are dealing with a supplier they can trust.”
Gamma also offers its services to the public sector through a number of other procurement framework agreements, including Crown Commercial Service Network Services RM1045, Scottish Procurement Fixed Telephony and JANET Telephony Purchasing Service.
