In 2017, Gamma helped universities see 100% up-time with all calls being delivered successfully and peak time traffic saw a 400% increase on 2016 with 106,000 uninterrupted, concurrent calls. As well as that, we only hit 22% of our planned capacity meaning our network can easily cope with demand.

We have the new Horizon upgrades and updates, plus you can also find details about recent changes to our Inbound and SIP Trunk Call Manager portals.
As of 14th February, all new Horizon companies will present a user’s extension details on a site-to-site call made within a company. Any organisations with multiple sites and remote workers can now choose to present the look and feel of one company-wide system.
Using the upgraded service, the handset receiving a call will display the below.
Previously, when a user made a call to another company site, the Horizon display would show the user’s full DDI:
Bear in mind that while the current option will remain available, the Horizon default setting will be to present a user’s extension. To make any changes to DDI presentation, head to the Administration tab of the Horizon GUI and select Call Policies from the drop-down menu.
To change, simply toggle the Display Extension Number for all Company calls switch to on or off.
The setting is also available at site level. Changing this setting will affect all users under the site in question.
For example, a company has three sites: A, B and C. If site A has enabled site-to-site presentation, users on any other site will see the extension number when called by any user of site A.
If the setting is disabled on site C and site A and B have it enabled, then a site C user calling a site A or B user will present their full DDI.
Following popular demand, as of last month Horizon users were able to provision speed dials in bulk. For more information, check last month’s issue here.
After initial feedback we have added an option to select all users. Once you have created the 1 and 2-digit speed dial and selected Continue…
…you will then be presented with the option to Update all Users.
Alternatively, you can choose individuals to be updated using the Select User to Update option before finishing and saving.
Download buttons – When certain Download buttons are selected an unnecessary browser tab would be opened. This has been resolved.
User GUI dial button – When on the User GUI and the dial button was selected with no number populated an Error 500 would be displayed. This has been resolved.
Instant conference group improvement – When a number was being added to the group, the number did not clear from the field once added. This has been resolved.
Call centre call recording setting – If a Company had been disabled for Call Recording, the Call Centre would still display the call recording settings even though call recording was not active. This has been resolved.
From the 6th of March, the number of any caller who has requested their CLI be withheld will be presented within the portal as Withheld.
Users of the Inbound portal will no longer see the last three digits masked as per the below.
Moving forward the calling number will be displayed as Withheld.
