Gamma, a next generation full network operator and one of the
UK's largest providers of telecoms services and related
applications, has won the 'Fixed Line Carrier of the Year' award
for the third year running at the prestigious Comms National Awards
2011. The event was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Park Lane London on
Thursday 13th October and attended by over 450 representatives from
the industry.
The award is independently judged, and recognises the very best
products and solutions in the channel. Gamma was also
fortunate to win this award in both 2009 and 2010. It is the
second such accolade for the company this year; Gamma won the
'Network Operator of the Year 2010' award, also for the third time,
at the Comms Business Awards in June.
Also on the night, Gamma's CEO, Bob Falconer was recognised by
the Comms Dealer "Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award".
This is a new award, and is intended for the person who shows
entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for business and an ability to
understand the way the channel works.
Bob Falconer, CEO at Gamma, commented: "To win the 'Fixed Line
Carrier of the Year' award is really pleasing for everyone at the
company. The channel is such an exciting and dynamic market
and it's really nice to know that the efforts we put into giving
our channel partners the products and the service they deserve is
recognised. We're always looking for ways to help our partners
expand their markets.
Falconer added, "To also personally win the "Outstanding
Contribution to the Industry Award" was quite an honour.
However, I think this is really recognition of the quality of
our people, and
perhaps my role in just letting them get on with the job. This is
such a great industry to be involved with and there is so much to
look forward to as we head into a period of great change."
As CNA 2011 'Fixed Line Carrier of the Year', Gamma competes
against the UK's major fixed line operators and the award reflects
how Gamma has proactively helped resellers to grow their businesses
in a converged environment, demonstrating reliability, technical
and sales training and support, ease of doing business, innovative
incentive schemes and excellence in account management.
