Independent Assessment
To achieve CarbonNeutral® company certification we are
independently assessed by Greenstone Carbon Management for our
carbon footprint; taking into account all utility usage, business
travel and waste across each site, as well as the electricity
consumed by the IP network of our parent company, Gamma Telecom,
who provide the range of applications and services we supply.
The resultant carbon footprint is then reduced internally and
the remainder is offset by purchasing carbon credits where every
tonne of CO2 emitted by us is matched by an equivalent amount saved
by a project somewhere else in the world.
Which projects are we supporting?
Working with The CarbonNeutral Company, we offset each tonne of
CO2 by supporting an emission reduction project that would not have
happened without carbon finance.
We are supporting the Aydin Geothermal Energy Project which uses
geothermal energy to generate electricity at a renewable power
plant in Turkey and a Biomass Renewable Energy Project which uses
renewable biomass to generate heat for processing tea at nine
factories in Sri Lanka.
Being Green begins at home
Gamma Business Communications is committed to recycling paper
and card at all of our sites. Using audio and web conferencing for
meetings reduces the need for travel, and we are switching from
paper invoices to electronic (email and web) for our customers.
